Reeperbahn Festival Reports Increased Attendance Numbers Once Again - Over 15,000 visitors experienced the urban club festival
More artists, more venues, more visitors. Its third time around and the Reeperbahn Festival—already a one of a kind festival in Germany—has established itself once and for all as the European club festival.
During the festival’s three days, more than 15,000 visitors attended 145 live concerts in nineteen clubs, theaters, and concert halls.
The Reeperbahn Festival concept was already in full swing last year. This year, the increased number of acts and venues, along with the related increased number of visitors the festival was able to accommodate, was all accomplished without raising the admission price. The result: 3,000 more visitors than in 2007 and every last club filled, some to capacity, with festivalgoers.
In the meantime, the extent to which the Reeperbahn Festival’s approach has proved popular with music fans is evidenced by the large number of tickets sold well in advance of the announcement of the 2008 festival program. With more and more enthusiasm, fans are embracing what the Reeperbahn Festival has to offer—a way to tap into exciting, international artists, some little known in this part of the world, while hopping from club to club!
